Boilo - A coal Region specialty

What is Boilo?

Boilo is a traditional Yuletide drink of the north-eastern United States, specifically Pennsylvania. Boilo is a type of whiskey-based liqueur made with oranges, lemons, sugar and various different mulling spices such as cinnamon. If you talk to 100 different people, you'll get 100 different recipes - the fun of it is twisting and editing the flavors for your own family. Some people will make theirs very boozey and drink it as a shot... some people will make it a little more as a sipping drink.
